Special Announcement Regarding Paradise Extracurricular Events

Dear Panthers & Families,

I am writing to you today to communicate concerns that have been shared in regards to PHMS student behavior at Paradise-sponsored extracurricular events, specifically, PHHS Panther football games. Observations of middle school student behavior include running around the facility, horseplay, climbing on fences, throwing food, vandalizing within the bathroom, and throwing water bottles & food, smashing food into bathroom sinks, not following staff directions, and showing disrespect to staff when redirected.

It is important to remind each of our families and students that the code of conduct applies to all Paradise-sponsored events. To help ensure that all of our spectators have a more enjoyable experience, the following expectations will be followed, specifically, at all high school events:

  • Any student 8th grader or younger will be required to attend a high school Paradise Schools event with a parent/guardian. Please do not purchase a ticket online if you are not able to attend with your student as they will not be permitted at the gate without a parent/guardian.
  • If a student does not follow expectations set by the staff at Paradise, the student will be asked to leave with their parent/guardian. In addition to being asked to leave, the staff may determine that a discipline referral is submitted to the PHMS leadership to address with additional appropriate consequences.
  • Fans in the Stands- Please note that if you and your student decide to attend as a spectator at games, the expectation is “Fans in the Stands”. Walking around the facility will not be allowed.  Of course, traveling to use the restrooms or travel to purchase concessions will be permitted.

Please know that it is my expectation that our middle school students represent our Panther Pride no matter what event they attend.  Thank you for your continued support and follow-through on these expectations. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
